Russell got fired from work (by a hybrid boss ?) after calling the troops to the island and finding it deserted.
Dave figured out that there is a new storm brewing and expecting further "lights", so russell and trhe sheriff teamed up and contrived to get the families out of town to safety, before heading back in to town.(End)
Have to say that during the storm build up during the last quarter of the prog, playing int the background, was that great Doors track - Riders On the Storm.
Like you I'm not sure if the wait has been worth it (bit like Murder 1 a few years ago) but it's almost there. Hope this helps
