I enjoyed it very much. I regard it as light hearted entertainment and that's that!

Yes

Got to be honest here, I missed the whole lot.
Garbage TV for them of little taste.
Don't know yet.
Awful ,it was on in a room I was in .please stop this trying to make the introducers funny . Dancers prob do their best but include me out .
For those
Some strange pairings, and I always feel sorry for the pros who are paired with the 'no-hopers' (like Kevin Clifton and Susan Calman). I wonder how the fees are divvied up re those that the producers know will be leaving early - those who make it to the later stages must get paid more than the duffers.
It felt a little different without Len, but overall for week one not a bad showing.
The pro dancers get £30k each regardless of how long they stay in the comp. The longest serving pros like Anton get £35k.
Blimey, hc, that's not very much for 11 or 12 weeks of 2 shows a week, and all the rehearsal time!
Compared to what Tess and Claud earns it’s rubbish. The judges have a very easy ride earning £110k each but the pro dancers can become household names and it boosts their income from teaching and performing
They'll grab it gladly and why not, there are plenty excellent dancers signing on or doing jobs they hate.
Did anyone else think it was a bit formulaic tonight?
Antoine gets danger money.

Is that the right phrase?
Woofgang, I agree but think it’s because there were so many dancers and the show was live. Had to be slick to get through it all on time. Previously the first few weeks were on Fridays and Saturdays, both live, but now it’s crammed in to one long show
hmmm hc....not a good start....
I haven't watched it yet, but I always found Len irritating with his 'Cocerknee uncle' persona which the TV bods have decided is attractive and viewer-pulling, so they keep sticking him in other things, which all seem to fail, can't say I am surprised.
New head judge Ballas mostly gave the same score as Darcey Bussell sitting next to her, but some of her marking was inconsistent - starting mean with Gemma for example then overmarking others later. Mollie was way overmarked as she has very little natural ability.
Bruno is completely OTT this year. I think Len was probably able to restrain him a bit. Really annoying.
