I see from today's newspapers there are newish, rehashed episodes from outtakes from earlier shows being shown on Gold. Why?
Most people cannot access this channel. It is disappointing to fans of this show.

I don't know why. I don't have Gold channel, However tomorrow on the 'Yesterday' channel they're showing the 3-part Christmas special with the brilliant Batman and Robin scene, I haven't seen it for years.
But you are Batman...
The main reason I've got a Now TV box is to access Gold (although I find that I enjoy some programmes on other channels available through their 'Entertainment Pass', such as Sky Arts).

The new programmes will be shown on Gold simply because they were actually commissioned by UKTV (which owns Gold):

Cupid, yeah but Christian Bale not Adam West.
You've burst my bubble...I thought you were the real Batman, lol!
I'm the real batman, Cupid!

People who meet me always walk away shaking their heads (in obvious admiration, I'm sure) and muttering "Bats!"
Get a Now box, Caran - it's not expensive
When are these episodes being shown ?

But I don't want Sky!!
Although Now TV is owned by Sky, the programmes come through your router (and not via satelite dish). £19.99 gets you the box and two months' access to lots of extra channels. Thereafter it's £7.99 per month but there's no contract.

I also don't want ('proper') Sky but I find a Now TV box is a good compromise.
Thanks for the info Caran, as I watch or record a few prog from Gold, especially QI, and live at the Apollo, and love OFAH.
When does it start?
Cant you get it on you laptop?
^^^ Gold is a subscription-only channel. You need Sky, Virgin, BT or TalkTalk television services, or Now TV, to access it.

The most popular way to get Now TV is through a Now TV Box but you can also get it on your computer or with mobile devices:
http://www.nowtv.com/devices-v3
However you need a valid 'Entertainment Pass' (£7.99 per month, with no contract) to watch Gold (and 10 other channels, as well as all the 'box sets' which come as part of the deal).

Gold is owned by UKTV which, in turn, is co-owned by the BBC. Thus their 'pay' channels help to fund the BBC as a whole, enabling them to keep producing new content.
It pees me off that Gold show all the Fools and Horses episodes constantly and not the mainstream channels, I too don't have Gold! Good tip about the Christmas special being on 'Yesterday' tomorrow, will record that ...
They are all on youtube
Oops you should have Arksided ...
