It's one of the most boring, can't change Stations quick enough if it shows up.
I was told (admittedly quite a few years ago) that all the things bought by the contestants were in fact chosen by the people making the programme. She knew that as she had been a contestant, and had had to pretend that she and her partner had chosen the items that went to auction, I haven't watched it since!

Was reading the bit where the contestants get the money is actually recorded after they have bought the items .So by that time they hope the contestant are more relaxed for the camera .
I agree calf, but I think the rest are too, even some of Antique Roadshow looks staged.

My biggest detest is, 'Money for Nothing' what a load of trash.

Yesterday while I was in the hospital waiting room on tv, there was an old chair that she rescued from the tip.

Took it to this magic blokes workshop, where he waved his wand & it was covered with a sheepskin, which looked horrendous, then told us she had sold it for about £460!!!!!

Then goes to the blokes house, who discarded it, and he looked shocked when he opened the door to see her there, (really, he didnt know she was coming).

Then, as like all the other programmes, they must ask, ''what are you going to do with the money'' Argh,

Another annoying bit is where the auctioneer seems to sorta join in the fun when a bidder is paying much more than what their value was and indeed the value of the item for sale .
