Sad, but absolutely brilliant. Actors must salivate when they get a part written by Jimmy McGovern. And he, in turn, must love writing for such talent.

This is one of the best dramas I have watched for many years. Superb actors, but anything by Jimmy McGovern is brilliant. I'm also enjoying watching the repeats of "The Street". I read an interview McGovern gave, in which he said that he cries when he writes his scripts. That's why they are so brilliant - there is a world of emotion in them.
