Ever since my Sony TV was sent in for repair a couple of years ago, the volume only goes up and down in increments of 25! I have a Sony DVD player too and the remote works with the TV too and this ALSO does it! Going by this, I'm guessing it's the TV and not the remote. I've spent hours of searching forums and just general searches, but to no avail. Even the repair guys couldn't help me. It's now become a mission to solve this problem, so any help would be more than gratefully received..

You'd improve your chances of getting an answer by making two changes to this question:
1. Post it in the correct section - Technology
2. Include the Model number of the TV
...and "increments of 25" doesn't mean much unless you state what the maximum volume value is....100, 500, 1000, 10000...all things are relative!

OK, sorry folks.. The sound increments start at 0 up to 100. My TV is a Sony Bravia KDL series and, as it's 8 years old, the remote or TV doesn't have the options that are listed in the very helpful link supplied from Zacs-Master.
