Anyone else on here like this series ?
Do you think its because they like to see things eating other things?
On the other hand they could just be recording one to watch later. BBC3 is now all on line anyway.
David Attenborough is still enthusiastic about the planet and the animals on it, He makes the most boring of subjects sound exciting and that is what we draws us in.

Some presenters can prattle on about fish or something and I get bored and drift off.

Not really, Baz.....I know which the young people in my life watch......without recording the other......
And no......they're not scared of me......☺

You could well be correct woofgang .

I must admit , i do like to see a raiding party of lions for e.g. , go on a search for dinner . However i'm always pleased to see the dinner getting away .
Woof is correct......he's just the best at drawing us in and getting us to enjoy being informed......imagine had he been your teacher!....x
Baz, we're a bit contradictory like that....we love to see the lions but love to see their pray getting away.

Yes , he is good at what he does .

There are other similar programmes , which he does not narrate , which draws one in as well .
I love watching programmes about the Yellowstone National Park

Indeed zacs .

I was watching a programme the other day , where a pride of lions went after a giraffe - i was so sad when this beautiful animal was brought down , by these expert hunters
I really dislike seeing things attack and eat other things. I have never found it enjoyable. I know its nature I know everything has to eat something but I prefer not to watch.
Not the Attenborough programs so much but I think some of the US made ones verge on violence voyerism.

woofgang

You like your steak nicely wrapped , in a freezer in Tesco's - right ? :-)
Bazile.....frozen steak???? you philistine! :)
yes i eat meat, no I don’t know if I could kill it myself if I had to but I have had to put small birds and mammals out of their misery and can do that. My point is that I don’t enjoy watching things kill and eat other things and i don’t find it entertaining. Where its in context, as with the Attenborough films, i can understand people watching it but don’t want to myself. Where its some of the US programs where the whole point of the program is to show animals attacking and killing other animals under the guise of natural history....well i think that’s violence voyerism as i said.
