i agree - i had an issue with them last year, and it tokk me a good few months of hair tearing frustration to sort it out. it's still not really sorted. getting them to understand anything i was saying, or getting me to understand anything they were saying was a nightmare. In the end they wore me down, and i did not have the emotional energy to fight them. My contract is up in august, and i'm certainly going to leave.
Doesn't it recognise DTMF as well ?
BT customer relations is virtually non-existent
They have just put their prices up too. I'm leaving.
Just a thought, Gness, but should your answer not have been "yes"?
If your account is with the phone you were using?
Apologies if I have picked this up wrongly!
I could get in to my (old, redundant) BT email earlier when I had a look because another friend is having the same problem as you, gness.

It now just keeps saying :

"Sorry

We're experiencing a temporary problem with Email and are working to fix it as soon as possible. Please try again later. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience"

What a load of old pony - time for you to bail out to a decent email supplier.

I only have email with BT which has now gone up to £5 a month.....I had to move my other services, phone etc, elsewhere because BT was getting more and more useless.....as is their customer service, I agree.....

I doubt it, OG...☺
BT are a nightmare to get hold of. So many menus often with an automated answer which might as well say fekk off. The best I've found is to lie to the automated questions until you finally get to speak to a real person.
Question Author
I will, Dave, my message said.....You have breached the terms of your contract...x
Question Author
Prudie....I did that in the hopes of getting anyone.....after twenty minutes wait they cut me off!
don't be disappointed gness - getting through to a real person is no more helpful than being cut off
watch what you are doing as I left BT some years back and went with TalkTalk who were a nightmare so much went back to BT

Also friend has gone to Virgin and it too has been a nightmare - so think carefully.
Question Author
That's what I've found before, Bednobs.....☺

Virgin is out, JJ......bonkers experience with them!....but I will leave BT...x
BT at 10:05 (having denied having any problems for several hours)

"We currently have a major broadband problem that is preventing webpages from loading for some customers.

This is also stopping some users from logging into their email accounts via webmail.

Our engineers are working to fix this as quickly as possible"
Keep calm and drink wine xx
We left and tried to keep BT mail...it took them 6 months to tell us it was a simple problem but they chose to beat about thre bush the WHOLE time.

BT are useless at everything couldn't organise a p!$$ up in a brewery if they tried
The net in general is pretty sporadic this morning. AB was down for me earlier and the avatar images have been missing for an hour or so. I have also had some dropout on my email account with outlook. I will access my ot's pc account and see if she is running she is with bt for email. We have bt broadband unlimited package and are pretty happy with them. Our account is all dealt with on line, and when it was up for renewal in April, with a threatened price increase, we fired off an email to their accounts wonks and gave notice of severance...........and they "negotiated" a price reduction for us. We pointed out to them that they were offering new account prospects a better deal than the one that they wanted to charge existing loyal customers. We also did it with sky with the same result. I will disappear and check the bt mail account.
Never had a problem with SKY,you actually get to speak to a real person,in English, makes a change.!!
ot's should read oh's
