How Do You Create A Link Using Bt Email Or Free Aol Mail

for all the years i was using aol you could click on a part of the home page to insert a website or whatever you were viewing as a link into an email, can anyone tell me how to do this with the free version of aol mail or BT mail i'm also using google chrome. if any of know how to do this can you tell me step by step as as those of you that have helped me before know i'm very computer thick. Thanks

Go to the web page you want to link to. Right-click in your browser's address bar; that will highlight the address. Select 'Copy'

Go to the email. Place your cursor where you want the link to appear. Then either:
(a) right-click and select 'Paste; or
(b) press Ctrl and V together.
[Method (a) doesn't always work directly with some web-based email systems. Method (b) always does]
I don't know if this works for all laptops but on mine pressing f6 highlights the URL.
