I will try not to put any spoilers on but the current Rob/Helen story line is just getting better and better (not for Helen though - who I never liked but even now am starting to feel sorry for).
I really hope there is a locking of horns with Tom too before Rob gets his (inevitable) comeuppance
Shame life is not always that simple

^^ I have hopes of Carol Tregonnan, she's seen a few things.

I'm looking forward to the moment when Rob and Ursula say they want to send Henry to boarding school (unless it happened last night - I haven't heard that one yet.
Yes, but Helen is being told that she and her behaviour are the cause of Henry's problems. She may well be 'persuaded' that it is in Henry's best interest to be away from her. This will make her think that she is even more awful and useless.

Do you remember, right at the beginning of this, that Rob explained that Jess had psychiatric problems which made her impossible to live with. Helen will have that in mind.

But from what I've heard, these situations do go on and on. Very few are not taken in by Rob, I had great hopes of the Doc but he's gone very quiet since Christmas when he seemed to recognise Rob. Christine is looking good though, she seems to have his measure, so maybe something will happen there.
I'll swing for that ruddy man, I surely will ! She attacked him ?
Shula will remember when he attacked a hunt saboteur.
Mikey, Helen slapped him. I did the same after a terrible, similar tirade - the result was a horrible assault on me, but, technically, I was to blame for the first physical action. Fortunately the police saw my injuries, saw no marks on him and carted him off for a night in the nick - and told me that he'd do it again, so I knew where their sympathies lay. I felt so guilty, even so. It is not always clear-cut.

Fortunately, the next, and final, really bad time, he attacked me first (lots of small ones in between) and I could get Drs. ref., gendarmes witness etc.. It's not easy when you are walking on eggshells, you can blame yourself and excuse them quite easily.

Helen may have to get to that point before she opens her eyes.

On BBC R4 there is a speech that we would all love Helen to make. :)

I have given Jordan BA for her remarks on carol tregonnan which I agree with
I would not have given it for your later remarks as I feel that would trivialise them and I sincerely hope you are in a better and happier place now xxx
I am sure that what is happening to Helen is happening in real life.

But what I can't accept is that all her friends and family are not aware of what is going on, and this is where the scriptwriters are departing from reality. Her mother and grandmother are nobody's fools, for instance and the story line is getting more and more unbelievable.

I hope they don't flog this one to death,

Jourdain, Helen didn't actually hit Rob, though she went to.
Rather than just defending himself, he hit her.

The following is from the BBC Archers podcast page on Friday's episode:

Rob says that he "wanted a wife and mother for his child and look what he ended up with". Helen goes to strike Rob, he stops her, and strikes her. Later, Rob manages to pass the blame to Helen: she backed him into a corner. She apologises.
^^ Thanks, Hopkirk, I think I blocked it out.
I thought you might have had it the wrong way about have been wrong Jourdain but was too timid to say so !
That's the trouble with radio drama, not easy to picture what you are hearing.

A bit like the night Rob got her drunk and had his evil way, there was considerable discussion here about what actually happened.
:0) xxxx you people
On Woman's Hour this morning - Helen and the Archers producer will be on that programme on March 29th. I wonder if that's a hint that this protracted drama will finally come to an end? I do hope so.
Go on Kirsty.
Between Kirsty and Carol I think salvation looms!
Maybe some evidence will surface that he was "cooking the books" at Berrow Farm. That should put him in the chokey and we can get back to the usual trivia- until????????????
