Wasn't this so obvious, even though it must have been a difficult decision in the BBC's diverse line-up of contestants?

is being in some poncey cake baking contest on tv worth more than your child's health?
Mushrom, there was a fiv emonth gap between the show being recorded and aired.

I think she's a delightful contestant and I look forward to the final.
isn't what so obvious? That she would fear that people wouldn't take to her because she wears a headscarf?
What wasa dificult decision?

I don't understand your post
I think AOG is seeing a conspiracy of 'positive discrimination' and bias because Nadiya's religion/ethnicity.

Absolutely nothing to do with her culinary skills nor her competent performance in the individual tasks......of course.

Did you not read the article mushroom? Her child was ill after bakeoff was filmed and she and her husband were in the hospital with their son. I am not sure what is so wrong either with promoting a positive image of a female British Muslim.
well, to prevent a misunderstanding, perhaps AOG could tell me wht his question means?
PS she hasn't won yet so i don't think it can be your suggestion.
I like tht article that says "she is one of the favourites to win...." there's only 3 of them!
but i dn't think anyone is saying that woofgang are they?
GB Bake Off "poncey". Really, is that how you see it mushroom?

Well the Prime Minister himself has come out in her support, simply because "she is so cool under pressure" that at least is more than can be said of his own breadmaker machine.

As the article points out;

/// He is facing a crisis in Syria and a potentially divisive row in his own party over the in-out referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union. ///

/// But David Cameron has made his most important decision of the year so far - who to back in this year's Great British Bake Off. ///

Just about says it all doesn't it?
not really - do you read your replies?
aren't those the series 4 contestants?
Are you suggesting that no Politician should have any sort of opinion whatsoever, on anything other than what is happening in the 'Political' sphere of life?
Mushroom thank you for the link, very funny;-)) But it doesn't prove your 'poncey' point. Never mind, I guess we just see it differently.
