So...I have a feeling that in some point in the near future, I'm either going to be working for Jessica, or she'll be Prime Minister.

For those who saw it - how do think it compares to last year's 'Educating Yorkshire'?

It's still on now sp. These programmes always seem to show a couple of outstanding teachers. I'm afraid I'm old school- this soft approach in general doesn't work and as for Jessica - such a shame she isn't in a more academic school.

I think the results Leah got went some way to justifying the methods chosen by Mr Hennessey.

Incidentally, he's already trending on Twitter...

Aside from some very positive reactions, it seems like quite a few ladies would appreciate his 'teaching methods'.

Ahem.
i get really puzzled by these programs. Is school so very different from when i was there?
I left teaching 8 years ago - v large high school outside of Luton, if I'd gone there as a teenager I'd have been stressed out of my head. Absolutely horrid environment & so much measuring of performance for the kids and staff. Awful.
The programme makers must have knowledge of some of the pupils behaviour or who would be interesting, as they put mikes on them.

Yes - they would have interviewed teachers and pupils before deciding who would make a 'good story'.

Had Leah failed all her exams, it's likely she would not have featured.

Also, that scene with the pupil spying on the teachers to get gossip for the school newspaper was completely faked.
Yes leah's results seemed to make it all worthwhile (plus good telly of course0 but at what detriment to the non-trouble makers.

i'm not alone then, Mr Hennessy is as sexy as hell
we never had teachers like that ! great viewing

I agree sp, and the girls having a fag, and it just happened that the camera was there to see them run off from the school.

Yet another programme set up, do the tv company's think we are a lot of idiots, think I will stop watching.
Mr Hennessey 'sexy as hell' ?
Am I watching a different programme?
I don't t even remember exactly what Mr Hennesy looked like. But he did come across as a dedicated teacher.
Very watchable, of course it is contrived but that is the pattern - pick a rebel and a star and a few in betweens.

I love the show.
