Very Christian of you.
Never been to Blaenavon then, melve?
Bet I have, St Andrews Birmingham.
I think Christian philosophy holds that god is indifferent to external embellishment or appearance.
And if this programme offended your sensibilities, try a car boot sale in Burnley.
My word!!
I never watch any programme that involves film of members of the public singing –it always makes me feel really uncomfortable!
Not even the F.A cup final, andy ?.
Andy - I agree. They always seem to over enunciate the words especially when the camera is on them. Always look very earnest too, makes me squirm for some reason.
Tony - I don't watch the Cup Final.

Margo - "Andy - I agree. They always seem to over enunciate the words especially when the camera is on them. Always look very earnest too, makes me squirm for some reason."

Glad it’s not just me then! I have always thought it looks so completely unnatural, and it does make me feel uncomfortable, so I try never to watch it. I appreciate it’s nice for those who can’t get to church, to be able to join in, but I can, and even if I couldn’t, I wouldn’t watch other people singing.
Ah right, andy. Just wondered.
tonyav - no, I'm not a football fan.

The present Mrs Hughes however is a dyed-in-the-wool fanatic and Stoke City season ticket holder of many years.

When the children were small, I was tasked with taking them out for the duration of Cup Final Day – including the build-up – so she could watch everything undisturbed. I used to leave the house mid-morning, and return after tea.
Blimey, Have Stoke been in a Cup Final......? I missed that!
....oh, Man City were involved. I remember now.
She told Andy it was an FA rule that Stoke played in every cup final(including the Scottish one)
......and he would have been none the wiser. :-)
The whole over-enunciation thing is just warm up exercises so they get maximum stretch when they go home for a bit of flagellation.
No point hurting yourself further by pulling a jaw muscle as you atone.
Tilly - "......and he would have been none the wiser. :-)"

True Tilly, very true!!
Yaaaay

Well done andy-hughes!
awww crap....I was referring to your other answers that you never C&Ped
and they were perfectly understandable

'None the wiser, perhaps, my lord but certainly better informed.' ......now, Andy. :-)
