I have never received this information before so anybody decipher it a little more thank you

You've used more than 8GB of your 10GB in July

Hello,

You're getting close to using up your monthly broadband allowance, which we might have already written to you about. If you do use more than your allowance this month, we'll charge you £5.60 for an extra 5GB. Then, if you go over that, we'll charge you for another 5GB - and each time you use it up until your allowance resets at the end of the month. This means your next bill could be higher than usual.

From 1 October 2015, the way we charge for extra usage will be changing from £5.60 for an extra 5GB to £1.50 for each extra 1GB.

If you've used more internet than usual this month, that's fine. But we all seem to be doing more online these days. So you might like to weigh up whether one of our bigger broadband packages would be a better fit for the way you use the web.
How to check your usage or increase your allowance

You can keep an eye on how much internet you're using with our broadband usage monitor.

And if you'd like to steer clear of extra charges for going over your broadband allowance, remember you can always upgrade to one of our products with a higher usage allowance. Or go totally unlimited.
Upgrading online is fast, easy and convenient.

They're just trying to get you on a higher tariff. As it's nearing the end of the month, looks like you're on the right tariff.
My sister got one of those from BT. When she checked it out, they offered her unlimited broadband at no extra charge.
It's nothing too taxing just a warning and some sales patter added in. The warning is that with 5 days to go in July you have already used up 80% of your 'free' internet usage. If you go over before the end of the moth you will be charged £5.50 for each 5GB you use, after October it will be £7.50 for each 5GB.
The sales bit is asking if you want to pay a bit more per month and have more internet usage. Just don't overdo your time on the internet for the rest of the month and nothing different will happen.

thank you all for your input JjCon
I get that every month. I have only gone over my limit on one occasion in the last 2 years and £5 approx was added onto my next bill. They do just want you to sign up for more Gb's and get more money out of you.
Cheaper to upgrade to the unlimited then you dont have to worry about usage
I used to get this message and did end up having to pay the £5.60 some months. Now I have Youview TV which uses the internet too so I have upgraded to unlimited BT Broadband.

If you find yourself going over the limit more often too, consider upgrading once the cost goes up in October.
I get these "warnings" (aka sales patter) quite often but I've never actually exceeded my limit by the end of the month. The problem with "unlimited" is that you don't seem able to get the unlimited anytime phone calls with the unlimited broadband package and I really value the phone call package.
I get the unlimited broadband and calls but I don't do the Tv package.
