I got a Terry's chocolate orange for my 50th, he knows I loathe them too! For my 60th, he managed a digital SLR though, so he can learn when he wants. As far a Corrie though, this is the kind of humour they do well, especially when Carla suggested new oven gloves too and he agreed.

I once got 2 frying pans for Christmas!
talbot - I hope you slapped them in the front and back of the head.

This is what I mean - presents mean nothing no more - my attitude is if you want or need anything at all - BUY it yourself.

I know I have bought some lovely things and they never ever have been worn and I am worn out trying to get things for people - also years ago people loved to get money - not now - they have got their benefits.

And Deirdre doesn't read books either !

My most boring present was a bird feeder from an ex, because he knew I like feeding the wild birds !
I'd love a new oven for any birthday present!
