Bought my neck of lamb as suggested by you all, now just want to know if I should seal it in the frying pan (like you do with chicken), before putting in the slow cooker.

Being contrary, i'd say it doesn't matter as long as it's cooked long n slow
I always brown meat first....apart from anything else, it adds to the flavour of the finished dish.
You can but you dont need it, just throw it in. It will still stay nice and moist as long as you cook it long and slow.

I don't - the lamb I cooked the other day in the slow cooker was just delicious.
Well.....let's just say that no professional chef would do without the sealing/browning first!
