I had no broadband connection over the weekend and being a BT customer, I reported in and was diagnosed with a faulty hub. A new one (BT hub 3) is on its way.

In the meantime a friend has given me a spare brand new BT hub 4. I've plugged it in and am away. When my hub 3 arrives should I swap it out or being a higher number, is this hub 4 superior?

When I was with BT I upgraded a Home Hub 2 for a Home Hub 4 and found the wifi signal in comparison was abysmal and figured I’d wasted my money. Best bit was when I left BT they wanted me to return the Home Hub 4 which I had paid for.
They didn’t get it back.
Compare the two and use the one you prefer. Just because it’s a newer version don’t make it better
We have BT hub 4 and it's much better than our old hub 3, maydup.

Funny how they are sending me a home hub 3 (free replacement for a very old white one) when my mates brand new spare one is a home hub 4.

I'll try both as suggested and keep the other as a communal spare.
