I just have. I feel a bit like a prude but the sex scene on Truckers last night came as a bit of a shock, to put it bluntly (and he did) someone getting rammed from behind boobies swaying in the wind - this programme on from 9pm to 10pm -ok the watershed but who makes their teenagers go to bed before 10pm? -and yes I know they can see worse on the net if you are not careful -but this was a drama programme and that amount of graphic detail was not necessary at all. Thankfully son was upstairs getting ready for bed, I would have been so embarrassed -even OH said What The Funicular? I thought this was family viewing. If I want to watch porn I will access those sorts of programmes I do not expect it rammed down my throat (sorry) at nine o'clock Thursday on BBC.

"I do not expect it rammed down my throat "

*sniggers"

Oh errrm, sorry!

No, I haven't.
Only ever complained once, an early series of Spooks when the girl got killed in the deep fat fryer. It really shocked me.
Never. I'm rarely offended.
But it IS after 9pm and therefore not family viewing or intended to be....
I actually find the storylines on Doctors more inapropriate for the time of day that they are shown. BTW I haven't watched Truckers and don't intend to.

ummmmm don't get me wrong, I wasn't offended at all, just thought it unnecessary and inappropriate for the time of night and the programme in question. I would have been embarrassed if my 12 year old had been watching or my mother (OMG! she thinks Mrs Browns Boys is pornographic) lol!

woofgang 9pm is prime time viewing as far as our family is concerned I think the BBC need to revise what is watershed.
Only once and it was for the same scene that prudie complained about, it haunted me for weeks.
Just as an aside, I absolutely hate seeing sex scenes on the telly.
you have every right to complain to the BBC about anything that offends you, if they get enough complaints they act on them.
If it was after 9pm then I don't see the issue.

Surely a 12 year old should be in bed by then anyway!
Lol....not in this house they weren't.

By the time they are home from school (4 - 4.30) changed out of their uniforms, had some relax time, dinner and home work...it would be about 9 o'clock.

friedgreentomato do you realise how much homework kids get these days? sometimes social activities such as Scouts don't finish until 8pm then you get home and relax a bit. My 12 year old goes to bed at around 10pm on a school day but we are lucky because he gets the bus outside our door at 8.30am so does not have an early start. Anyway....this is not about the appropriate bedtime for a young person. The sex scene, not an under the cover wriggle with a bit of moaning but a middle-aged lady of particularly large upper body proportions on her hands and knees, front view, being rammed very hard from behind by a naked, rather dishy actor (no it wasn't jealousy lol). I felt the storyline would not have suffered if they had been seen to have sex but not so graphically . Those scenes in a film a few years ago (maybe even now) would have attracted an 18 or over certificate. Not IMHO appropriate for a BBC Drama. The programme itself is not very good so I will not be watching it again.
Send a complaint to ' Points of View ' Clary. You may well find your opinion is widespread.
How did you complain Clary, was it by phone, did they acknowledge it and say if others had complained?

Will it be repeated? I want to see it before i support your complaint to the BBC.
Me too Sqad. Don't get that on Panorama and the stuff I watch.

Must say that I have had teenagers and I think they might have been embarrassed but I wouldn't have been, nor their mother.
Fred.......the modern teenager.........."embarrassed?"............I wonder?
The embarrassment would come from watching it with parents rather than the content I think - something that never goes away however old you are.
Prudie.............exactly...........the voice of common sense;-)
