It would be a good time to scrap Bruce!

Weecalf, agreed!
why scrap the show it's good
if it's man flu they may have to scrap the series
If you don't like the show, don't watch it. Simples!!
If he genuinely has the flu, at age 85, then best wishes and good luck to him ...
Why would the BBC scrap one of their most popular shows? So, you don't like it....millions do.
I think it goes very smoothly when Tess is the main presenter- she has covered before

Man gets ill.
Don't scrap the show, and you probably can't sack him until the end of his contract. Just don't renew it.
Did he not get his flu jab? He was not good last Saturday on the live show, he could not read his autocue and Tess Daly covered for him a couple of times. The recorded show took over 5 hours to record as he fluffed his lines so often. I wonder if they are going to let him go. It is a shame, but there is a time when you have to accept that you can't do things anymore.

What do I watch on BBC one then when this nothing show is on Oleando Why should I have o switch off a channel I help pay for
Because if you have a television you benefit from the BBC.

Even if you never watched the BBC - doubtful - you would benefit a) from the quality of programmes that other channels have to produce in order to compete with the BBC and b) from the way other channels have to schedule their ads to compete with a channel that shows none.

If you've ever been to America and tried to watch TV there - the same programmes you might watch here - it's far less enjoyable. The frequency of the ads ruins it. Here, the other channels can't get away with that because everybody would switch to the BBC if they tried.
As long as they don't give that Claudia Winkleman the job - she is awful.
weecalf: I see, you expect EVERY BBC programme, on all channels, to be to your tastes? Get real!
Nice to see ya, NOT! lol!

Not every but some would be helpful

So there's not a single thing on the BBC that you like?

I think Radio4 and political coverage is worth the license fee alone.

Oh and things like Sherlock and the sadly ended "Being Human"

And the bakeoff...

What kind of thing do you like?
