disability assessment atos

Bit worried as have just been sent and completed questionnaire form by this company using glasgow address belonging to health board.Worried because of programmes tonight on 4 and bbc2.Am I alone in finding their findings disturbing.I know I was truthful on form but now realise answers could be twisted to give a more positive view of my condition.For instance I can still type one handed.Although I could not pick a box from the floor to save my life.How disabled do you have to be to qualify for the new benefit?

Dont know about EM10 but i think 'THECORBYLOON' does!! They have revealed more about the form & the process than was shown on the program. Hope things go well for you tommy.

Does anyone know how long after you are supposed to know the results? I asked for a copy of the medical report, in which I scored 6 points, and received that within a couple of days, but have not heard anything else since and had my assessment about 6 weeks ago.

not a secret, don't work for atos, I have been put through the mill over the forms, medicals, more forms, which has made me very ill. It's not cryptic, just don't want people to know more of my business.

I waited months for copy of the medical, and then didn't score any points, add into that it's a nasty, flawed system. The people doing the testing are without doubt on quotas to get people no matter disability back to work.
I could ramble on about this, but if you watch the two tv programmes it gives an accurate picture of what people are being put through.

Follow up to previous : It has been 3 mnths since I returned the self assessment/questionnaire.Have heard nothing from ATOS but on Friday recieved correspondence from DWP stating I had been placed in the "support" group and would not be called for back to work interview,however I could request a meeting with advisor if I really thought I could return to work in some limited capacity.LOL. Most embarassing the new benefit ESA replacing Incapacity and income support is going to pay me £140.44 more a month.I thought the reason for all this upheaval and distress was to save money.Anyway thanx to all who took time out to respond to my initial post and the best of luck to all going through such a review.Special shout out to EM
