Not Danny Boyle

All this talk about Danny Boyle directing the Olympic opening ceremony made me think at first why him but I'm thinking of the wrong person. Can anyone help me find out who I'm thinking of that might have a similar name - he's a bit tubby, balding but also with a lot of dark hair, glasses possibly an known as a Radio DJ and/or comedian. This is all a bit fuzzy but any ideas? (Not Frankie Boyle obviously)
