he has a mental illness, considering that he has been sectioned. Probably brought on by almost killing his own son. I don't care for the way it has been portrayed. I am not saying more, but it rarely happens this way.

I'm sure every case is different and although he seemed to suddenly plummet into the worst stage I wouldn't say it happened overnight, he's been acting oddly for quite some time.
