What were your thoughts on this programme? I just managed to watch some of it. It's very reminiscent of the Office in the way that it was shot. I thought that the co-worker was very much like Dawn and in mannerisms Derek was like David Brent.

That's not surprising, since it was written and directed by (and starred) the same person.

I started to watch it, bookboo, but, I soon switched off,
Like you say, he was too much like David Brent in The Office (which I enjoyed)
But this... nah.. I didn't like... it wasn't for me.

Is there a second episode, I watched the 1st. I never saw the office because it wasnt until recently that I became a fan of Ricky Gervaise(sp?)
I read the critics which to be honest annoyed me saying how bad it was to re-enact the part of a mentally challened person, some wel known Hollywood actors have won Oscars for doing such things.
Well, back to Derek. It wasnt what I thought, I didnt think it was that funy, more of a drama, but the end of episode 1 I admit I cried, thought it was genius and never expected Mr R.G to make me cry in that way
