Dear good AB'ers - I find the TITANTIC stuff interesting now @ 100th BUT - How BIG was the TITANTIC 50th Aniversary in 1962 ? Thanks good AB'ers GL.

There was one big difference between the 50th anniversary and the 100th... :-)

not that big, commemorations by individuals but can't see any information in the same league as the 100th anniversary..

The film, A Night to Remember, came out in the late 50s. I don't think the 50th anniversary mad much of a splash.

Hi Graham, like others, I don't remember too much of a fuss being made of it. There were, of course, only two TV stations available at that time so nowhere near as much scope for fuss. I do have vague memories of survivors being interviewed on TV.
