whats what all about? it sounded like most of the audience booed him when he said he was german!

do we, as a nation, generally, still have an issue with germans because of the war? after all this time? really?

i am shocked that such a large amount of people instantly booed... i could imagine one or 2 people...or rather, idiots ... doing it - to be greeted with a silent room but that many people?

im amazed!

think it was more tongue in cheek for the audience
I didn't see it joko but would also be stunned if that did happen. I don't believe many have an issue with them because of the war (unless they were from my mother's generation).
I was shocked as well. Could be a football thing.
whatever you do dont mention the war.....i did then but i think i got away with it
Yes but they would have been sorry they booed, he was great!

I am just stunned that it would even occur to anyone to boo... and even those that it did occur to, that they would dare do it...even as a joke...

you would not boo other people such as a black person or jewish person or fat person etc (although cowell was rather obnoxious and judgemental about one lad...)

the judges looked shocked too...and embarrassed...
I've been married to a German for the last nearly forty years .I wish I had a quid for some of the derogatory remarks that have been made to him .Especially in the workplace .I'd be quite rich .Luckily he's a German with a sense of humour :)
A german with a sense of humour, is it he Henning When?
Bonkers isn't it - I worked in Germany for a while - my colleagues/friends/neighbours were some of the best people I've ever lived amongst.
Sorry should be Wehn
No Kawakiri ...his name's Ulrich :)
Two and counting, lol.
He is a good laugh kawakiri. All the germans we have known have tried to organise us but lovely people. Please what is BGT?
You must have met my darling late ma in law then seadogg :)
BGT = Britains got Talent
Thanks Shaney. Sorry my education lacking on BGT. Alles klar!
A German chap came to work in our project office..............he had a complete humour failure when someone (not me) put a beach towel on his chair.
What is annoying is that this footage need not have been included. They interview participants for a good while before their act begins and to broadcast it was, in my opinion, incredibly churlish.

The target-audience is wide and certainly includes families, so to expose young people to blatant racism seems shocking on the second most-watched programme on British TV.

I have raised this complaint with Ofcom and would urge you to do the same.

Was there any reference to the booing on Britain's Got More Talent on ITV2 later?
I think that as a nation the Brits dislike any one that is foreign!
