It was a largely disappointing ending. The point seems to have been that the Steve Mackintosh character (the manager of the cash depot) wasn't really interested in stealing the money - he just wanted to get the feeling of power and invincibility back, as he'd 'been afraid' for most of his adult life.

You see Marcus and his wife driving off...

If I remember correctly the only one that got any cash was the chap with the girl friend, not much though, nothing happened to the guard, it just fizzled out really.

You see Marcus and his wife driving off down a motorway and hear him saying, "I've got an idea...it's a really good idea this time..."

Chris at the end was safe, and I assume his character will remain safe, but then there was the question of the information he gave to the police - how would that pan out for him during the subsequent trial?

All in all, it needed one more episode to tie up the loose ends.

A bit frustrating.

I agree sp1814, I was very underwhelmed by the ending, in fact I rewound it and watched the last ten minutes again in case I had missed something lol
