Upstairs Downstairs

Anyone watch it tonight?
Still don't think it's a patch on Downton Abbey.
So boring I fell asleep.

Not impressed either!
Give it a chance! I thought it looked promising, and has a good cast. I bet you thought the same thing with first episode of Downton (which I love BTW)!

I thought there might have been a reminder of what happened in the last series so I had no idea who they were talking about half the time.
Me too missprim, there wasn't even a 'previously on Upstairs Downstairs' bit so I couldn't follow it either.
I thought it was just me who couldn't follow it. They should have given an update at the beginning.
There was something contrived about it, something about the atmosphere that Downton has and this hasn't.
I think that they have tried to bring it up to date for the late 1930's, but it still has a Victorian feel that doesn't go. If you see what I mean!
The efforts at humour fell flat, accents were appalling, storyline boring: won't be going there again!
I found it harmless but not life changing. It was much more watchable than Downtown (better script and more realistic storyline) and I will probably watch it again. (if I remember!)
