>>>Have the BBC stopped broadcasting?!?

You are not actually paying a license to watch the BBC.

You are paying a license to watch ANY live TV, even on your computer or mobile phone (and not just BBC).

The "TV licensing" web site listed above indicates that even if you ONLY watch say the "France 24" TV channel on your computer you STILL need a TV licence, even if it is the only thing you ever watch.

In fact the whole "mess" with TVs, computers, mobile phones etc makes you wonder how long they can actually continue to justify having the TV license.

For example if you go to the BBC iPlayer to watch LIVE BBC TV it asks you "have you got a TV license". If you say "yes" you can carry on and watch it.

What a stupid situation.
I can't believe how many people moan about the TV licence, F_F_S stop being so tight, it's one of the few public sector things that is worth it! less than 1 pint a week or 10 death tubes, cheap as chips!
Well if you did at least you wouldn't have to put up with all those annoying girls in the Walkers Crisp adverts
