You know i have never seen E.T (cant figure out why) or any of the Lord of the rings movies. I do like a good movie as well and try and catch one as often as i can. Does anyone else have a blockbuster movie that they have never seen would love to but dont know why they havent yet?

I haven't seen Lord of the Rings either - purely because its not my type of film. I've never seen Grease though.

I've never seen The Deerhunter, Apocalypse Now or Forest Gump. I think I'd like to see the first two, but I don't ever want to watch Forest Gump. My friends were so appalled by this that they bought me the DVD. Even my own kids have sky plussed it and set it to keep. They can't understand that I just don't fancy the idea of it. That'll show Tom Hanks!

I've never seen ET either. I did like LotR trilogy though. Haven't seen the latest 3 Star Wars films and don't want to. I don't think there are any I really want to see.

dimligump, I think your friends are right, you have to watch forest gump.
Not only for a stunning performance from Tom Hanks.
But also for movie that combines humour, pathos, war, peace, music, and love.
It is also a potted history of the USA for the last 40 years.
It will bring a lump to your throat in so many places.
Just start to watch the opening shot, with the feather floating down, that alone is a stunning bit of movie making.

Here is the opening shot.
Spare 2 moinutes of your life to watch it and I bet you will want to see the rest.
I've never seen Forest Gump, The Deerhunter or Apocalypse Now, though I have seen all of the Lord of the Rings films. And I only saw the Sound of Music all the way through for the first time last year - how I've missed that all these years I've no idea!

I have never watched Forst Gump, or Schindler's List, or any of the sequels to the first Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings films.
I am very wary of any film that has everyone raving about it - ever since Four Weddings - and I avoid anything referred to as 'feelgood' because it will have the opposite effect on me!
Philtaz Mon 13/10/08 22:08
I've never seen Silence Of The Lambs nor any of the Hannibal films.

andy-hughes I challenge you to watch the "feelgood" film Little Miss Sunshine.

Gone with the wind, i dont know why i have never seen it as i know its the type of film i love.
Haggisdj Thurs 16/10/08 12:57
I have seen all of the above, apart from Little Miss Sunshine, and enjoyed them all.
Andy-hughes, Schindler's List is brilliant. When I saw it at the cinema there wasn't a dry eye in the house - but I can't tell you why. It is a very powerful and emotional film and I would recommend it to anyone.
dimligump Thurs 16/10/08 23:05
Still haven't seen Forest Gump.
curiosity Sun 19/10/08 01:39
Haggisdj get to borders and buy little miss sunshine for 5.99 I guarantee a belly laugh, and maybe a tear, but definately a feel good.

I think I may be the only person in the country who hasn't seen Titanic.
Don't see the point as I know how it ends!
