whats the film?

My colleague watched a film around 15yrs ago and cant remember the name.
Its about a group of young people, student age group, who go camping and there is a yeti type monster who kills them off 1 by 1 by chopping of their arms and legs etc.
Can any1 help?!!
It is based on a true story.....

Probably not a true story really...because yetis don't exist. There are lots of yeti/bigfoot/sasquatch movies but it might well be this one: "Night of the Demon" (1980) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081229/
