Alfred Hitchcock Movies

I love all the Hitchcock movies but my favourite is Psycho! When you see it for the first time it is really scary and atmospheric everytime you watch it you can always see something you have previously missed. I don't think they should ever have made sequels it is one of those movies that was a "one off"

these were my favourite. He was a genius. Psycho is one of the best. It was all shot and made within 30 days and a few thousand quid. Much better than million dollar movies of today.

Psycho is brilliant and still stands up well today. But I think Psycho II is actually pretty good - it is blackly comic and continues the story quite well. The other sequels are very poor, however.

Did you know that Psycho is the first film to ever show a flushing toilet? Hitchcock was a true cinematic rulebreaker and helped paved the way for the kind of realism in cinema we see today.

I adore Psycho, the groundbreaking approach of having the violent scene really early on, the ratcheting up the tension to the end.

Apparently a small boy asked Hitch what he used for blood in the shower scene, and having shot in black and white, Hitch was happy to tell the youngster that the 'blood' was chocolate sauce!

My favorite is Strangers on a Train. Apparently The Master used a real "carney" for the shot of him crawling under the merry go round

And how could I forget Daphne De Mauriers REBECCA (not an obvious Hitchock film) but has to be one of my all time favourite.
