I've just watched "Dongmakgol" on offer at HMV (3 for £12) it's Korean with loads of metaphors squeezed into it's imagery. It' a war film were some North Korean soldiers cut off from their unit end up in an isolated village (oblivious to the war) with two South Korean deserters there's a great scene were the two sides square up to each other with all the people stuck defenceless in the middle, If you like a film that's easy to watch but a little bit artistic, then give it a whirl. It's a really uplifting film.

Seen it! It's not a bad film (I thought the North Korean coats and hats look proper sexy on a woman), when you watch Korean movies you start to see how much the partition hurts them in the South it appears they're revisiting their history and offering the appropiate criticisms in the hope (I think) of building reconciliation have you tried "Brotherhood" (Korean) and also "Assembly" (Chinese) both good films although I think Brotherhood's slightly better Assembly does have a great line in it though "you're brave now! It's only because of your parents good deeds we never met in battle."

I personally think Korean women are sexy anyway lol
yes saw brotherhood thought it was good. i went through a period of watching every Korean movie i could fine after discovering 'Oldboy' and 'Shiri'. try them if you haven't already, 'Shiri' shows how angry and bitter the divide has left some people.
will have a look at 'Assembly', although its getting harder to come by the foreign movies for me now though as my DVD rental shop has just become a Pram shop!!!

"Oldboy" is mentioned on the cover I've never come cross "Shiri" I know what you mean about Asian women, my future wife's Chinese and I think she'd look really good in that sort of gear (traditional communist stuff) although she may disagree and would probably slap me if I asked her!

worth asking though!! lol
so looks like you won't be watching footy in Knowsley for some time!!
