Dennis Weaver film.

Can anyone tell me the name of a Dennis Weaver film in which he and his screen wife are in a town they are not familiar with and after taking a wrong turn they end up completely lost in the "bad" part of the town?
They get threatened and chased by the local "low life".
It might have been a TV movie from the seventies.

the only thing i can think of is the film called duel, that had dennis weaver being chased and menaced by a masive black dirty lorry but you never got to see the lorry driver. an early stephen spielburg film if i remember correctly.

Well, if the bad part of town was covered in sand then "Terror on the Beach" would fit the bill...
