freaky friday ... i have fewer warm memories somehow! lol!
can't remember, but it was about a dog; the dog died and I was taken home crying.

No, it wasn't Cujo
I think it was Toy Story or Babe but I can't be sure....
Was it Old Yeller Jno? That film still makes my Dad cry!! lol
Was it ''Won Ton Ton'', not sure which was the first I went to see probably a Disney but can't remember which one.
It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

As for The Sound Of Music - my brother was a cinema projectionist back then and having to watch that film several times a day every day for weeks on end meant that "classic" wasn't the word he used for it.

I remember Old Yeller too, erin, but this one was a couple of years even earlier, I think.

Didn't the cast refer to it as "The Sound of Mucus" while filming?
E.T. I remember sobbing when he died! I was 5 or 6.
Sink the Bismarck.
Cant remember the first film I went to see at the cinema [unless Saturday
morning pictures counts]. Sound of music is the film I've seen most often
though. It is definitely my favourite. I still swoon over Christopher Plummer
and was quite upset to find he only mimed Edelweiss!
First one I can remember is Gone with the Wind, my dad took me to see it years after it was released.- still one of my all time favourites.
"Back to God's Country" in the 1940's.
I weren't even a twinkle in my dad's in the 40's!
In the 50's,not the 40's.Rock Hudson was in it.
My nan took me as a child to see Carousel. I fell in love with Gordon Macrae, still think it's a very underrated musical.
Rock around the clock in 1956/7 We were jiving in the aisles!
Do you know something, Bernie?......I cant recall that i've ever watched the full Sound Of Music from start to finish since i've had my 4 children.....I either drop off when watching it with my kids.....or the phone rings and i spend a good timeon there, so miss it......or i've got to go out somewhere on the hurry up......mrs bear loves it and being an American loves the British accents.......( I warn her that Dick Van Dyke is pants as a cockney in Mary Poppins......"Cor blimeyyy, Maiiirrry Popepinns" )

I'm sure my youngest has it on DVD, so one day i will see it all the way through with her. :0)

The songs are cheery enough though.

I'm sure I must have seen it as a child with my parents, but cant remember how it ends......i think Christopher Plummer fancies Julie Andrews though...........well, who would'nt. :0)
First film went to see at the cinema?.......must have been a Disney i think......probably The Aristocats 1970'sh.........:0)

scat dat do wop de scat dat woo!
The Jungle Book - it was magical
