RIP indeed, a great group. I saw them in the early dys when they played in Howth. Luke Kelly fabulous.

The Luke Kelly song is v beautiful, but here's one which actually features Barney.
Born, btw, in 1939.
My own abiding memory of him, though, apart from once meeting him in a bar in London, will be his "Masons Apron" banjo/fiddle duet with John Sheahan. Unbelievable dexterity to play a banjo (and indeed a fiddle) like that)
