Just wondering because there's a lot of people asking why he hasn't been arrested.

To go back to your question, hammerman, it seems he has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage (to the flag).

If the charge is maintained, Violent Disorder is the most serious of the Public Order Offences and usually results in a custodial sentence handed down by the Crown Court. Magistrates' sentencing guidelines suggest...

I'm glad he's been arrested.. Did you see how he was taunting that policeman? I bet that copper would have loved to put his shield in his big gob..And IMHO the copper should have done precisely that .. the spoilt brat..

sammmo maybe you would have liked him to have his head smashed in

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has launched a probe into one incident which left 20-year-old student Alfie Meadows requiring brain surgery after allegedly being hit with a truncheon.
he should'nt have been there..We never seem to hear about the police that are injured do we..

the papers need a headline story and a rock stars son sells papers

all the papers did reports

Bloodied bobbies who faced the hate mobBy Charlotte Gill, Ryan Kiseil and Eleanor Harding

They faced a merciless hail of rocks, bottles, flares, paint bombs, snooker balls, fireworks, bricks and steel barriers.

By last night six police officers were seriously ill in hospital after rampaging mobs hell-bent on violence hijacked yesterday’s tuition fees protest.

One was knocked unconscious and suffered a serious neck injury.
can we have the same law for everyone or should the son of a rock star get a stiffer sentence

I'm not blinkered I know we are fed aloud of C*%p in the papers.. They just print stuff to get people to side with one lot or the other.. At the moment they say the police were heavy handed and the poor students were only excercising there right to protest peacefully and next week they will be saying we are living in a nanny state.. we are all brainwashed to a certain degree
have you changed your mind

( sammmo I'm glad he's been arrested.. Did you see how he was taunting that policeman? I bet that copper would have loved to put his shield in his big gob..And IMHO the copper should have done precisely that .. the spoilt brat.. )
Did anyone see the the clip from later in the day when a reporter interviewed Gilmour about the demo in general (before he'd been named as responsible for the Cenotaph incident); he sounded as though he was either stoned or mentally deficient, or maybe both.
bibblebub he has said he was high and when pointed out what he had done apologized straight away
no I have not changed my mind.. I think the police should be allowed to use whatever force they feel is necessary to stop unruly behaviour during these demos and if that means cracking a few heads, so be it.. If this gilmour lad thought he'd get a smack in the face for taunting those police he would'nt have done it would he? as it was he knew that the policemens hands are tied and they have to show restraint..
sammmo there are plenty of people on that demo who never caused any trouble but got a smack from a baton
thats a risk they took..they could have stayed at home.. or demonstrated in there own town..they knew the risks when they went there..
they may bring that in as a new law
they could call it the sammmo law

you may only demostrate in a peacful way and you must be no more than 2 miles from your home
the covering of your face is not allowed ( unless you are a muslim or it is a blood stained bandage from a head injury )
Looks like the cenotaph incident was not the only one
