Forensics

I was recently the victim of a street robbery and hospitalised as a result. I was offered the option of giving my clothes to the police for forensic exam. and that I did.
I'd like to know do I have a right to be informed of the results of the testing.
I hope somebody is in the know enough to kindly offer an answer, thankyou...
