Parking Tickets

I have received a parking ticket for my silver coloured Renault Clio--- the PCN describes my car as a gold coloured Reliant but they have my car reg. correct Is it worth challenging?

my friend got of a charge a few years ago but that was a police one (similer thing) wrong car and colour.hope somebody gives you good advice.best of luck

I am not at all sure, but I suspect it may invalidate itself by having incorrect information on the ticket. I dare say someone will say if that's true or not.

You could claim that you were somewhere else, and that that isn't your car - you can prove yours is a silver renault.

misdescribing the colour and / or make of car is not sufficient by itself to invalidate the PCN. As Postdog says there may be other reasons why the PCN is invalid, incorrect wording on the PCN, incorrect roadside signage are just 2 examples. the guys on www.pepipoo.com are the experts and will offer loads of advice.

no point in challenging it my dad got a ticket the other week and they got his reg wrong so he challenged it and they just sent him the ticket back with the correct printed reg on it - just pay it and forget it after all its only £30 if you pay in within 10 days xx

I believe traffic wardens now take photos of the parking place and car!
