A traffic warden put a ticket on our car when my boyfriend forgot to display his parking permit and a note was made on the ticket that the tax had expired. I had received my new tax disc but had forgotten to swap it when the old one expired. Will I be fined for this as well or not?

Unlikely as it is DVLA that decides on prosecution for no tax.Their records will confirm that the car is taxed so they wont proceed.

There is the offence of failing to display a current tax disc but again prosecution is highly unlikely.

Stop worrying
