My boyfriend is 18 and I am 16. We have been together for 10 months. My parents have not actually sat down and met him because they do not like him. They are continuously making false assumptions up about him. He has not been any harm to my family or me. He actually has sort of stuck to himself because he even said he does not want to get too far into the relationship because my parents are crazy to the point where they would lie to a police officer. Please help me.

What charges?
If you and he are doing nothing illegal then yes they would have to lie to get him into trouble and prove it too .

Try to calmly encourage them to meet him and get to know him better.
They don't need your permission to *lay charges* against anyone.....although, strictly speaking, they would make allegations/accusations and it is the Police who lay charges.

You might have to be more forthcoming with what the accusations/allegations are....
Are you in the USA?
I am going to make an assumption that the charges you envisage probably relate to under age sex.

They could make a report to the police about this. However, if you refused to make a statement to the police there is not a jot they can do about it. Consequently, unless your parents are going to say they witnessed you in the act there will be no evidence.
You need to tell us a lot more about the charges and if you are in the UK or elsewhere. USA law for example is very different to UK law, US law even varies from one State to another.
^ Barmaid she says she is 16 so underage sex does not apply.
She also says Eddie that they have been together for 10 months therefore its not much of a leap to assume that there may have been underage sex!
Which they only have to deny.
My thinking , Islay......
Its probably correct as well Barmaid!
Yes, even if they did have sex before her 16th birthday it can't be prosecuted now.
If this is in the US the age of consent is 14 in many states.
I bow to your criminal knowledge Eddie!
Except a quick look on the net I found this:-

The age of consent in Canada is 16. All U.S. states set their limits between 16 and 18.
In Central America it is 14-18 years of age!
It's 11 in some parts of Mexico.
But not in the USA Eddie and certainly not 14 is it now!!
