A couple of years ago, someone posted an old photograph of a crowd of people watching a car arrive in front of what appeared to be a hotel. It created alot of interest with ABers speculating where it might have been taken, when it was, and what the occasion was.

Is it possible to upload an old photograph on this site now? I have only just learned how to scan.

Thanks for the info.
I remember the photo well that you are referring to ... and I am intrigued now about the photo you want to upload ...... can you post it? It it another mystery?
Sounds fun, if you upload it somewhere else post the link here (or on a new, appropriately titled thread in History) and I'll embed it into the page for you.

Thank you all. You have an ABer here who is not technically minded so will need detailed instructions on how to upload a photo to this site. I have a couple scanned into my computer (one of them is the right way up and the other, a larger one, is sideways on) so will need help please.
Okay go to tinypic.com
where it says ' upload image or video' it has a ' browse box
click browse
Navigate around your computer to the location you have saved the file
click on it and hit upload
Once it is uploaded to the tinypic site open the image in tiny pic site
go to the address bar at the top of the page and single right click it
choose copy from the drop down menu
Come back here, single right click and choose ' paste' and your link will appear here so we can click it and see your pic.

Sorry, I messed it up. I'll wait for my daughter to help me tomorrow. She's more of a computer buff than I am!

The photograph is now posted on this website. Do go to 'Old Photograph' and have a look.

AB Editor - don't know how we got there. It was a complicated process but it worked after an hour of blood, sweat and tears!
