Once they receive the text - it belongs to them and they can do with it what they please. I suppose it would be different if they got hold of your phone and started showing its content around, as it's not their property, but as it's been sent to their phone, it's their's to do with as they please.

i agree...once you send it to them its theirs to do whatever they choose
there is certainly no law regarding it.
i assume the messages were unpleasant and now you feel embarrassed?
they could perhaps argue that you are sending them messages without their consent...and if they are offensive, it is you that could be in trouble rather than them
There used to be things called letters, which you wrote and posted to people. The recipient could do whatever they liked with the letter.
I expect texts would be treated in exactly the same way.
If you don't want it shown around , don't send them.
