Indian Visa

my wife went to india on a indian passport even though she has a british passport, so that she didnt have to get a visa however now the indian authorities will not allow her to come back to the U.K. they say that they want to see her origianl indian passport which has expired. her childern r in this country waiting for thier mother to come back. what can i do?

Contact the Indian embassy, and the British embassy, and ask them to talk to each other?

Although the Indian passport has expired, she must still have it. Get it renewed out there and then she can return.
Shouldn't think the British Embassy will be all that interested seeing as she didn't enter the country as a British visitor.

wouldn't expect an answer TBH, i remember this poster from before who posted the same thing (either about visa for america or getting a lisense, can't remember which) without answering any of the salient questions

Yes, I remember the OP once asked the same question around 5 times (about getting a US visa in the light of a criminal conviction). But I'm a bit forgetful myself at times

When did she go to India? Thought you had to have at least six months on a Passport to travel?
