Yes, as most jobs offers requiring a CRB check are given subject to that check being satisfactory. A few companies won't even let you start working for them until your CRB check comes back - the NHS being one.

particularly if she lied to them about not having a record - employers have the right to be able to trust their employees! its better to be honest and upfront and let them make the decision to employ you rather than lie about something and give them no option but to fire you...

What was on the record ?.

Serial Killer, Terrorist, I bet it was for something silly like stealing a lip stick out or Boot's when she was a kid.

What a sad world we live in.

You break the law, get punished, then get punished again by the CRB.

I have employed people with criminal records, I just watch them closer.

REMEMBER : There are loads of people out there who have done wrong, the difference is, they never got caught.

well actually it was something i knew nothing about she was apparently caught with a weapon wen she was 16, so I honestly do not blame the employer at all.

Not exusing her at all, but it was just before she moved out of a specific area, after being constantly attacked and set upon, and literally beaten by a group of girls.

The only thing i am sorry about is the fact that she was not carrying it 6 months later in the same area where she was attacked and raped.

She has grown up alot in the last 2 yrs, and was working hard and loveing the job .
But thats the price you pay i suppose.
Such is life lol.
