Can executors (or others) involve the police in pursuing thefts from deceased?

Theft is theft, irrespective of whether it occurred before the victim died or whether it was from the estate of a deceased person, and anyone can report a crime to the police. It would then be up to the police to determined whether there was sufficient evidence available for them to pursue an enquiry and hand a case file to the CPS.

Are you talking about thefrs from the fella who then dies ? Yes the executors can involve the police

or are you talking about after death ? My mother's house was burgled during her funeral - [ common in Darzet arrrr - the thieves read the papers they do ] and we involved the Police who said yeah we know who is doing it and it will be a devil of a job...

or has an executor disposed of a bit of the estate - you know without anyone else knowing / - this is usually breach of trust and is sorted within the family.....
