Presumably he was arrested for drug related offences. If that is the case the police can enter and search, without a warrant, any premises where your boyfriend was immediately before his arrest. The fact that they found drugs there reinforces their suspicion that offences had taken place and he would be hard pushed to suggest that they had no business being there.

he's in deep trouble, but it is no defence to say the warrant was signed after they went to his flat. as new judge said, they probably had suspected he had drugs in his apartment and got a warrant to turn it over completely - and that is lawful, i'm afraid. he is going to prison for a long time, i suspect. sorry.

well we live in canada, onterio.. what he has do to beat this case? how much he has to pay? he used to have a lot of problems with police, but in most cases he was the winner.. he has very good lawyers.. for how long he might go to jail? he has been there three months already.. but he is in jail bcuz of assaults.. he wants to change now, since three years he doesnt drink, smoke or take drugs, i believe in him.. how much he might get for selling drugs?? 3 pounds of weed is like nothin, they didnt find any money, they have no serious evidence.. ;-(((((
