On bail pending further enquiry

Hi, if someone is on bail pending further enquiry, are they allowed to leave the country, they are intending to only go to france for the day and night, is this allowed or will they be stopped at the port?

Is it unconditional bail or conditional bail?, if the latter, are there any conditions?

Oh i cant help there, its a family member and im not meant to know so i cant ask, i was just concerned, but not to worry they will soon find out wont they. x
Hi, there are not many circumstances where conditions can be applied pre-charge but get someone to have a look at the bail sheet issued by the police and check for any conditions imposed (restrictions etc).

OK thanks exdc. x
It is unlikely, unless it involves domestic violence (there are other situations)
If your bail condtions say you have to stay at the address you gave, or cant leave the country then yes you can. Best to contact the officer in the case to ask as we dont know the offence or bail condtions.

Ive not heard anything so i would have thought they got out the country ok. x
My impression in the past has been that if they (the police and/or the courts) do not wish one to leave the country, they will confiscate passport until outcome or conditions are varied. So it's unlikely.
You may have to notify tho .. but you should always check the attached conditions (if any) as exdc says.
