Update on Samsung Fridge/freezer Fire
Just thought I would let everyone who v kindly answered my question on my Samsung Fridge Freezer fire what happened. Well I sent Samsung all my paperwork and engineer's report. I got a response back after 8 days telling me that they were very sorry but no compensation would be given for their appliance that caught fire, they will refund me for �50 worth of food and the engineers charge but nothing else. I have claimed on my house hold insurance (Aviva/N Union) who have been brilliant and just told me to get it replaced with an equivalent model, needless to say it wont be a Samsung. I am tempted to take this matter further legally as I feel that Samsung have been very remiss in their responsibility to the consumer. Any guidance would be appreciated.
