Hey everyone..

I've decided to finally take the plunge and get a contract mobile phone.. trouble is I dont really know where to start. I've always been on o2 so would ideally want to go with them but am open to anything (except 3mobile) if it means i save money and get a better deal. I'm getting so confused as all the different networks and mobile phone shops have loads of deals on.. and this is all new to me so i dont want to go and commit myself to paying a contract which will just leave me in the red!!!! what network/s would you say it's best to go with and why??? where did you buy your phones from and what do you think of them??? any onther advice would be great aswell!!! thanks!!

I've bought my last 3 mobiles from www.dialaphone.com and have had great service every time.

I'm with Orange at the moment and their plan suits me but it is just a case of looking around and finding what's best for you

Ok, Well I dont know why you would not go for 3?? I have been with them for years and had no hassle and remember they run off to O2 signal.

I use to sell Mobiles for a High street company.

Avoid buying from Phones4U, Car Phone Warehouse as they run on a heavy commision structure and try and sell you the worst deal for you and the best for them so they make the best commision.

If you want to go with orange then go to a Orange store and thats the same with all the net works as they have can slightly better deals then other stores, reason being they have to pay commision to other chains so like to try to put there saving a bit towards the customer, for example voda would pay Phones4u as much as 200 for 1 Contract, its a Big business so other chains would rather you went with them and took out there insurance as they make alot of money out of it.

Best Network depending on where you live is prob. Orange and there Insurance is amazing and is a must have.

Hope this helps

hi. thanks everyone. am going out to look today but will buy at the end of this week as i'm transferring all my bank accounts at the moment. i wouldnt go with 3 because a few friends of mine have said that as soon as they leave birmingham, where i live, the signal gets completely messed up... along with other difficulties. Thanks for the advice about the major phone shops.. i was actually thinking of "phones 4 u" but will now make sure i go to the actual networs shops!!!
