The will has been read, probate was granted and the house has been sold, one of the executors won't sign the accounts off. It has now been over 5 months since the accounts were sent, and still not signed. Is it time to go to a probate judge to get it sorted? If so how does one go about getting their solicitor to get off his backside and act?

do you know why he won’t?
So is it a solicitor who is acting as an executor who wan't sign the accounts off? Has he been asked and /or said why he won't sign them?

No it's a family member he has been estranged from the family for years and the solicitor keeps saying he will get in touch with him soon, but the solicitor needs a kick up the backside as this family member has issues with me who has dealt with most of the estate and now has issues with the solicitors fees but If I don't know what the issues are how can I move forward. This family member is loving being in control. How long do we wait before we do something drastic like engage a probate judge to intervene.
I am not sure who the solicitor is then, worrier, as you referred to "their solicitor".

My brother and I have been waiting for nearly five years for our sibling to either buy us out or let us sell our parents bungalow! He has been living in it rent free, but contentious probate is so expensive we would end up,with nothing!
